April 4, 2011 – Following the devastating Tohoku earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan on March 11, 2011, Level Up, in conjunction with The Fighting Gamers @ UCI begun plans to host “Fight For Relief”, a charity fighting game tournament spanning both Northern California and Southern California on April 4, 2011 with the intent to raise funds for Japan relief efforts.

All tournament proceeds and donations raised from Fight for Relief went towards a collective fundraiser on GlobalGiving.org, a website dedicated to social change and helping victims of natural disasters. Specifically, all donations and event proceeds were donated to a direct fund dedicated to Japan Earthquake and Tsunami relief efforts.
